เข็มกลัด
เข็มกลัดหรือที่เรียกกันอีกอย่างหนึ่งว่า เข็มซ่อนปลาย ประดิษฐ์ขึ้นมาครั้งแรกก่อนคริสตกาล โดยชาวโรมันใช้เข็มกลัดเป็นเครื่องประดับแซมด้วยเพชรนิลจินดา สวยงามมาก เมื่อหมดยุคของอาณาจักรกรีกและโรมันแล้วความนิยมในเข็มกลัดก็เริ่มลดลง
พอถึง พ.ศ. 2093 ชาวนิวยอร์คผู้หนึ่ง ได้ทำเข็มกลัดซ่อนปลายด้วยลวดอย่างที่ใช้กันอยู่ในปัจจุบันนี้มาจำหน่ายจนเป็นที่นิยมกันไปทั่วโลก
